Coatings
All DMX steel products are protected against atmospheric factors influence.Zinc coated sheet - cold-rolled plate, hot zinc coated with a minimum weight of 275g per square meter and thickness of about 20 µm. Often additionally covered with a thin layer of oil that protects zinc against oxidation.
Products' edges remain not coated after punching process, but it has no negative influence on their corrosion protection.
Electro-galvanizing - Electrolytic coat, minimum 8 µm thick, passivated.
Chloride passivation (yellow) significantly improves corrosion protection. Electro-galvanized products are mainly meant for indoor applications. Possible sporadic exposure to atmospheric factors effect.
Hot galvanizing - Coat spread by immersing a product in a fluid zinc heated up to the temperature of about 450 °C. Obtained covering thickness amounts to 80-90 µm. Such a thick layer effectively protects products subject to long-lasting influence of atmospheric factors. Coating especially recommended for steel post supports and other fittings used outdoor.
Cataphoresis painting - Enables to obtain black colour coat with higher density. Ensures increased corrosion protection. Products may be applied at places periodically subject to atmospheric factors influence.
Ground coating - Covering obtained by immersing a product in priming paint bath. It is a preliminary protection against the corrosion. Subsequent decorative painting possible.
Anodizing Aluminum - Anodizing will protect the aluminum parts by making the surface much harder than natural aluminum. Aluminum oxide is grown out of the surface during anodizing and then becomes aluminum hydrate that is extremely hard.
